I seen some power consumption write-up somewhere a while back, rather unhelpfully I can't remember where but as far as I recall the touchpad is the thing that eats up the most battery life. The LED consumption was pretty paltry.
I agree with you though. The battery life is pretty poor.
The only time it's bugged me is whilst playing Outlast. Ruins the immersion a bit when the screen is supposed to be black and there's a big blue glow reflecting back at ya.
I think it might be 'cause people are bored of resolution talk?
I didn't disagree, and I have a PS4, but all the resolution/frames talk is getting tiresome.

Good point about character creation too, they really haven't had a good FF character for some time.
It really isn't overrated at all. Whether or not it needs a remake is debatable, but to say it's overrated is crazy speak.
Not interested in a remake, the origonal is fine the way it is? Why do people want Square-Enix to remake 7? Surely the bigger issue is the fact that Square are clearly incapeable of making a FF game these days, and that is worrying. They should be concentrating on making a propper FF game and not trying westernise/modernise the combat, and conveluting the story to the point where you just think: 'whatever, fuck this stupid story and it's stupid characters.'

I dunno, I liked the Mass ending. I thought that the futility of your decissions was a decent way to wrap it up. Like no matter how much you graft or try do the wright thing, shit still happens.
It's to be expected. I'm happy with the 4 games we've had so far. Playing through Outlast at the min, shatin' me knickers every two mins.

Agree. Pre-order 'bonuses' in general are cancerous (especially so in a Souls game). Not as evil as the way post release revenue is disguised as legitimate DLC though.

I couldn't agree more though. Why did we go through the entirety of last gen without a good dino game!? Seeds of Evil was immense.
7, 8, 9 and 10 were all excellent. Didn't play 11 and 12 so I can't comment on them but you can imagine my disappointment when I played through 13...
I agree with the above, though the draw/junction system in 8 came under a bit of scrutiny at the time, I always though it was a great follow on from the Materia set up of VII.
Souls was never really about graphical prowess. The shots look adequate enough to serve up the right atmospheric feel of the game. same as Dark Souls before it, grim yet functional (apart from blight town of course).

It is actually a pretty solid review too. Just read through it now and although the tone of the writing isn't necessarily to my personal taste, it does cover all bases. I've read a handful of reviews for Don't Starve now, and this one is probably the strongest.
I'm the same. Skipped The Walking Dead and Rayman on PS4 and got them for Vita and am really enjoying them. I've had the Vita for going on a year now and there are some big highlights for me. Good for the kids too with the Lego games etc.
