Please do not forget that it is the Xbox 360 that has the more advanced GPU and 10mb EDRAM and the CPU in the 360 is actually specifically designed for gaming unlike the CELL cpu.

I love it when stupid fanboys that have no idea about technology run their mouth saying the 360 has gimped hardware, you know what is gimped? The 2 different types of memory in the PS3 along with the CELL which is overkill and then the underperforming poor RSX now thats a gimped console!

You know what amuses me is that with all the technology in the world why is it that people cannot actually get a decent camera? Even when there are aliens being spotted in the USA they always have the worst camera possible in fact even with police chases you watch the videos they are poor quality.
Is this a common thing in the USA? Cos it makes no sense also that video is a load of well you know...

I originally got mine around 3months after launch the 60gb version, had it for a few months hardly used it and the optical stopped working. Took it back was offered the 40gb I said no either 60gb or money back so got my £425 back.

So after a long time I started looking for a mint but used 60gb finally got one and this is interesting it makes less noise and gives out less heat than my previous 60gb...Interesting that.

There is something about that game, as soon as it starts, the music the atmosphere the overall feel its just perfect. Even now thinking about it i'm all excited. Its one of those games you could have a great lan party with and have fun with your mates all sitting around the screen with food and stuff.

Halo 1 was one of the best games I have ever played and still play.

PGR3: Poor vibration in controller - reason? Oh apparently thats how it is - Wrong played PGR2 on 360 and controller rumbled as it should have.
Visuals - Jaggy, low res, feeling of vehicles on road poor. Now compare to PGR2 each area you could feel the difference in the road the feedback to the controller was perfect.
Physics - Very poor nowhere as good as PGR2.

Well said, you know what I will ensure and try and make it my duty as soon as there is another story on Halo and someone opens there mouth on Halo franchise being milked I will do one better and give them a far bigger list of ALL the milked franchises.

When it comes down to it I will admit that Sony have impressed in regards to being able to put that hardware in the PS3 in the first place the most impressive part of the original PS3 was the powersupply. Given the heat generated it worked, with this new slimmer one its soo nice and neatly put together, also again with the powersupply internal.

It's a shame given the amount of money Microsoft have they did not invest in better tech i.e. quality of components and without cutting...

What makes the UE3 soo good? All it can seem to show is that the graphics are great but everything else in a game like Gears is just shooting, gears 1 looked better with the darker looking feel along with the heat from the bullets on the walls etc when shooting.
With gears 2 it didnt look as good imo, also Epic went on about how awesome the second one would be with environment damage etc but it was just layers!

Its the not the same as developing for someone else considering that Microsoft have a history of rushing their own internal studios that they have aquired along with IP aka Fable 2 rushed and PGR3 and 4 rushed and Halo 2 and 3 rushed. Bizarre left and so did Bungie and Lionhead suits Microsoft perfectly as Peter is full of it and a lier and would probably more than happy to throw an unfinished game out of the door.

Tri-star has not released any decent JRPG's this gen and this company well dont know anything about to say anything other than if they are gonna use the UE3 engine then im sceptical.

Can you all honestly hand on heart actually say you like this new Slim PS3? It was enough when Sony made the 40gb and took soo many features out now with the Slim they have made soo many more changes and imo they are further downgrades. I have the 60gb original PS3 and I seriously hope it increases in value considering what it offers over the latest design.

But I know that stores such as Gamestation and GAME no longer and for a long time now allow customers who have purchased a console to just bring it back cos they didnt want it. So am wondering can customers in the USA do that? As I was aware that with games they cannot return them at all?

Also I own the original PS3 60gb and to be honest I love how shines all over and the memory slots and bc that is offered along with 4usb ports and internal power supply. I totally dislike thos...

I disagree with the OP Halo 1 will never be beat, it had the best visuals for its time and still look good also the best audio, weapon feel and power perfect and the AI in Halo 1 is superb even games of today cannot come close to the AI in Halo 1.
Its a shame Bungie has sacrificed gameplay from what Halo 1 was, Bungie showed and promised much for Halo 2 then again for Halo 3 talking about their 'benchmark' for the visuals of MasterChief's suit but it was all a let down.

I have looked very carefully and the 360 visually is better it is more detail and less jaggies and bit better colours. Also throw in Xbox Live and its the perfect setup.

How everyone jumps to thinking its Diablo in a woman's body lol

If you're having issues on the PS3 get the 360 version it supports achievemants and vibration :-D
