PS3 news is a major source of internet traffic among gaming journalism. All sites know this and use it to their advantage. Some sites like Kotaku and IGN aren't afraid to sell their dignity just so you can visit their site.
All I can say is God bless Adblock + Flashblock. The internet would be a different place without these two godsends.
They could atleast give some sort of notification to the PS3 that are connected through the internet. Not all of us PS3 consumers search the internet for updates on PSN.
It's not so bad. Some games use it selectively to enhance the experience. EA Sports uses them and it feel more authentic with the ads. Without it...it just seems that something is missing. lol
