I'm all for this, I'd give it a try just I have to say I'm a little too stuck in my ways to totally give up a controller. Besides flailing my arms about to control something doesn't sound appealing.
I've never had a handheld from anyone but Nintendo (except iPhone). Patapon kinda makes me want to change that. So maybe once this comes out the 3000 and such would get cheaper? I want the purple one!!

I Dig Dug can also be played/gotten off XBLA. If the controls are bad on the iPhone but you still want to play Dig Dug maybe that's a better choice.
That sucks but I can't say that I'm surprised from the iPhone. Other than touch controls it doesn't seem to do well with controls.

It's great that you can get some of these pretty long and involved games for only $1.99 to $5.99 typically at most. And they're not crappy graphics, bad play either.
Glad to see it was an enjoyed port- not just some crappy remake. Some of them are hit or miss.
