I have no doubt that hard work and a lot of planning went into Home. I don't think he is suggesting that without 360 there would be no Home either. He's just saying it'll probably take longer for it to come out as there will be one less reason to get it out sooner (NXE anyone?)

the constant bashing between different "camps", I think the competition from MS and the 360 have definitely made Sony step up their game. I don't think Home would have came out as quickly or have as many frequent features update. The firmware updates would likely be less frequent as well.
So all in all I think the fierce competition have benefited gamers in general.

I agree. While Home has many interesting features, I haven't really found one that I go back to re-use time and time again. Also it'll be nice if they can make the transition from one place to another faster (it takes me about 15 seconds to load each level) and more seamless.

it is out already. You can download the demo off PSN. The graphics is pretty and I like the combat system from what I saw in the demo. I would pick this up once the price drop.

agree with Bladestar on this one. Web surfing have become such an integral part of a computer, that an OS without a browser would be inconvenient. This argument of bundling IE with the OS may be valid when people were just starting to learn what the Internet is (Netscape), but most people nowadays know how to download and install a different browser like Firefox. It explains the increasing popularity for Firefox (I tried and like Chrome as well).

9.4 is not less than positive. It's an excellent score. If I remember correctly, most people's complaining are regarding the GRAPHICS score specifically, not the overall score. With SOME people claiming KZ2 to have be the best console graphics so far, I can understand why the expectations are high on the graphics score compared to other shooters out there.
