just in the word forever alone. It will last quite awhile, but not forever. Unlike Mario where it has a casual appeal and people would buy them up just because there is the Mario name in it. It also helps that Mario is one of the most well known character/franchise since video games become mainstream.
Master Chief on the other hand is mostly known to gamers, so how it long it last will depend on if future titles can live up to or exceed the quality of current Halo games. Hope...
Final Fantasy - The Spirit Within??

Very good observation!!
Juggs
that the first 3 Halo are all FPS's, therefore an unsuspecting buyer might not be aware of it after watching the CGI ad.
The first 2 Killzone (Killzone 1 + liberation) are both FPS, so is Killzone 2.
Side note: Gurrilea said that the US Killzone 2 ad is done all with the in game engine.
never read the book or seen the movie.
Burger King?
the whole WORLD is littered with criminals my friend.
probably wish HDDVD would make a come back lol
Chill out dude, budget is being sarcastic so the exact figure really isn't the main point...
a) rental vs purchase for downloads? I would expect high rental but low movie sales for digital download
b) You could rent a movie via download, but still purchase the same movie after the fact.
I can see this disrupting the rental market, but not so much sales of the disk based media.
trying to start a war with Kratos?
Not very smart IMHO.
:P
?!
when you have MS claiming: "We predict an inevitable price cut for Sony very soon"
That + the global recession.
Are you kidding me? Unless you are a parent letting your 5 year old play this game, I'd say the more the better.
THE gore, vengeance, over-the-top violence game play is one of the main reasons why this game is great. I wouldn't have it any other way.
You can't forget to put sarcasm on your comment mate, a lot of people don't get it on here.
And I agree America is the only country overseas. /sarcasm
98 is the one and only kof I still play today.
You can find play 98 on GGPO still.
little to no advertisements, can a game be considered over hyped?
And how do we define "over" hype? Is there a limit of how much a game can be talked about before we consider it overhyped? Is it based on sales? score? features?
everything is possible.
Although having it out of the box is convenient for the general, not so computer savvy users.
Hopefully this will also force MS to make IE better in terms of performance (have you seen the Javascript rendering speed comparison between the browsers?) and security.
