But this shouldn't be used to as an excuse to have poor graphics, or to use the same engine for every iteration of the series without any improvements. However, if there is significant improvements in gameplay elements, graphics can be overlooked IMHO.

having extra space (in consoles) doesn't hurt, but not having enough certainly does.
However, unless we have proof that they purposely hold up the content due to DVD, we shouldn't speak of it as if it's facts.
