Just a few things.
The information that they are gathering is being obtained by what their PS3s are sending to Sony. Anyone who has ever done any basic networking knows how easy this information can be gathered.
1. Hook your playstation to hub (not a switch).
2. connect laptop to hub with WireShark or your favorite network sniffing tool
3. Profit.
At that point all you have to do is make a few simple transactions on the PSN s...

All sizes sourced from orlydb.com (scene releases of PS3 game rips, and no, you can't burn them play them, but the scene has been ripping PS3 games for some time now.

I believe this game is indeed worthy of a next gen make over.
I recently played a 360 at a friends house. I can say that that I really didn't mind the controller that much and thought that it did feel very natural in my hand and i did like the triggers more than I do on the ps3. Now, I probably only played it for maybe 30 to 45 mins tops and I played some split screen DM in Halo 3. I think the ps3 controller has some awesome features, and I'm not discounting the 360 controller by any means, but it should have been an updated DualShock 2 in my opinion...
Q2 FY2010: Release non-game software development kit.
@Toaster
"PC games are getting pirated more often nowadays. But if you go to some third world country you'll see just as many pirated xbox 360 and ps3 games. YES it is possible and I have no idea how they do it."
PS3 games can be ripped from bluray and burned back to bluray, but they will not play.
I think this says it all.
Newegg.com had this posted last night on their site.
Fanboys on both sides of this argument are wrong about the lead platform. It's being developed on the PC first, which Square has been doing since FF VI.

I really enjoy coming to this site sometimes because I'm able to find stuff here that generally isn't posted somewhere else (that and I'm a bit lazy at times). I've been following both systems for good while now. I was a late adopter of the PS3 (40gb model). I'm no fanboy. I like games, regardless of the system. Growing up, i had every system I could get my hands on...NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, PS2 (didn't really like the N64 that much, had a friend that had one). Granted, I don't underst...
GOTY = Game of the Year. I'm pretty sure that's what "pp" was going for.
From the Wikipedia Article for the PS3
"The PlayStation 3 uses the IBM-designed Cell microprocessor as its CPU, utilizing seven of the eight "synergistic processing elements" (often shortened to SPE). The eighth SPE is disabled to improve chip yields (i.e. chips do not have to be discarded if one of the SPEs is defective.) Only six of the seven SPEs are accessible to developers as one is reserved by the OS. Graphics processing is handled by the NVIDIA RSX 'Reality Synthes...
It's not about one version being better than the other as it is the company releasing a defective product and not doing anything to remedy the matter. If you buy something, you expect it to work properly. If it doesn't, you expect the manufacturer of the product to fix it, which they haven't.
I'm just curious if anyone has actually spoken to an attorney concerning a class action suit for this matter. I don't currently own the game, but if I did. I think this might be something that I would consider doing. This may be the only way to get the fire lit under these peoples asses and get something done. Petitioning, blogs, numerous phone calls to support on both sides and emails have done nothing to help this matter, as evident by the lack of support for the game by both parties. ...

This is more than likely what is being referenced when people mention Power8. This is very misleading, since currently Power8 is the successor chip to the Power7 IBM processor, not the next version cell processor. Hope this clears things up.
