It actually speaks to the quality of pc games on steam, a 2 year old game wins goty. Still don't understand the hype around rdr2. It was a good game for sure, but not great.
2018 was pretty good, 2019 was bad imo. 2020 was great ( only gaming wise, otherwise shittiest year of my life )
All I know is a 400$ pc won't be able to do what ps5 is doing, not taking devs optimization into consideration. Next gen consoles are worth the money.

Shows how much you have actually played. The assassins aspect is all but removed from valhalla. Except the lore of the hidden ones, you ain't an assassin in valhalla, you are more of a raider. Whole concept of assassins revolve around sneaking, and being incognito. Valhalla should have been just named valhalla and remove assassins from the name.
All the praise it gets is well deserved. What an amazing masterpiece!!!!!
That's true for most open world rpgs. Even witcher 3 was going from area to area and clearing it out, what stood was the depth and story of side missions. Some side quests of valhalla are pretty good, and main story arcs are also refined and innovative. If only they covered this full thing in half the map, would have been 9.5/10. For now it's 8/10

Did you even play the game? Or understand how the levelling up system works ? Even the devs said, if you want to suck the fun out of the game, then pay to boost xp. There are no xp gates, you play as you want, grind as you want. The side quests are fun in this game, I actually enjoy doing them, I like to kill everything, that gives me enough xp. Never once I had to stop and back track because of lag...
Its an option. You don't have to pay, you have a choice. Personally it takes the fun out for me if I pay to get xp. I like grinding, gives me a sense of accomplishment. Though I understand for some time is an issue and they rather pay to save time. Its always good to have options.
