The first Resistance was not really in the same ballpark as Gears of War. It was just another first person shooter, with nothing new to add and with a boring dragged out campaign. The storyboard telling was drab, and should have only impressed someone who hasn't played any other FPS game before. The online play wasn't anything exciting or demanding of repeat play for anyone who had played a good FPS game before. The large amount of players possible didn't make it more exciting whatsoever....

Open-office is a usable product, unless you want workhorse with multiple sheets and functions along with VBA/scripting support. Macs are nice and Apple makes some great servers, but the software library is limited and end-user hardware prices are outrageous. Linux is a great open source product, but there are so many distributions of it that it can get convoluted; not to me...
Updates take forever. 30-60 second XBL updates vs 5-10 minute PS3 updates that include you having to jump through hoops of plugging in, restarting the controller twice, agreeing to the silly legal agreements, etc. And waiting for LOAD screens in Ninja Gaiden Sigma that pop-up at ridiculous times (even with data copied to HDD). PS3 = worthless dusty black taco waiting forever for FFXIII to come out.
As for the Wii, I'm amazed it can even be played that long...unless there are...
That's because hardly anybody talks at all on PSN. Besides, you can just utilize the MUTE button. Regardless of whether you hear it or not, they think and act that way regardless. You can hear idiots walking through the park or in the store. It's no different, other than you can't turn them off.
Agreed at least that the browser isn't important. I tried the browser on my Wii and PS3 a couple of times, and it's just not worth it. It performs poorly and the interface isn't up...
