Are you kidding about setting the graphics bar? It looks bad & outdated. I had to keep clicking the HD button on the youtube video....thought it was 360p.
RAGE was a 6/10 at best. Boring, repetitive, not unique, and mediocre through and through. A $25 game.
Finally a REAL review. Not just someone ID paid off. Rage was mediocre at best. Maybe a 6/10.
Stupid article. 1 pirated download does NOT equal 1 lost sale. It's common sense. People will take anything for free, but charge them a dollar...and they won't touch it.
Battlefield Online & Play4Free are not DICE, it's EAsy. That's why they suck.
Exactly. Maybe they should release it unfinished like 90% of developers? There's always improvements made between when a games goes gold and is released. If they want to receive 10's from reviewers than they likely need those improvements in their copy. This isn't rocket science.
That questionnaire proves nothing. This article is trolling.
I'm dissapointed you have to 'paint' targets first to lock on to them. I think all they needed to do was tweak the SAM range from the beta and it would have been fine. Heaven forbid that Jets & Helis can't base rape and have to keep moving and use flares.
The Battlefield series has always been meant to be played on PC. Why would you settle for less and pretend you're getting the same amazing experience? Hint: You don't on console.
@BlackTar 187
PC easier? Right, auto-aiming on consoles must be to make things more difficult...
Up to 20 now. Probably because your comment was farce.
Couldn't agree more. Wish games would rank that way.
@solar
I disagree completely. Dice has always indirectly promoted camping snipers via the following: mortar strikes from long distances, claymores, mobile spawn points, and a heavy point emphasis on kills.
I honestly wish BF3 would use the Battlefield:Play4Free point system, it puts much more emphasis on teamwork. Most of the time the top player doesn't have the most kills.
Oh no....I hope to god they do NOT add ghillie suits. As if camping bush wookies wasn't bad enough.
Agreed. I see a guy camping with a UMP. A sniper getting headshots while aiming at someone's chest and moving while shooting. A guy spraying a silenced pistol from 30 feet and yet still wiping out 4 enemies with one clip (half the shots are off target). Running and gunning and doing more damage with a pistol than an assault rifle. And awful netcode. Tons of balance issues and bugs to be worked out in 2 weeks.
I don't understand these high reviews for Rage. Did I play a different game? I found it overly linear (I know it's ID, but everyone else does more), boring, repetitive, it had clumsy gun mechanics (head shots do same damage as shooting someone in the foot), and pretty much a wannabe Borderlands. So why the 9? Yeah it's polished but it's half the game people have been comparing it to. Not worth $50/60. And definitely not worth a 9...maybe a 6...if you're 12.
"However, Tornay stated on Twitter that “We can either put work into that [making it public] or into the final product – which would you prefer?"
What an arrogant attitude. How about you spend the time polishing the game instead of releasing a buggy beta, Day 1 DLC, and stupid trailers with Jay-Zzzzzz?
Half right. Bad Company (2 at least) is a PC centric game as well.
@GrieverSul *Looks at PS3 and PC*
*Laughing hysterically!*
I just logged on to metacritic to give all 3 versions 0's. Asking for reviews is just pathetic. The game is crap anyway.
