I heard so much hype from everyone about Animal Crossing, so I bought the game for the Gamecube. Played the game for an hour and realized that it was the worse game I have ever played. It even actually made me feel weird. Never touched it again. I did give that game to my niece and she loves it.
For it's time, it was an awesome system. I probably didn't know any better, but I remember staying up till 5 A.M. playing Maze Craze, Yar's Revenge and Dodge 'Em with my brothers.
It may suck now, but back then it was terrific.
I have all three systems and I can honestly say that the Wii is by far the worst of the 3 in terms of software AND hardware. It's nice for kids and grandfolks to mess around with, but aside from a handful of gems, the Wii sucks balls.
It also does not make my 50 inch LCD look good. The Un-HDness of that system hurts my eyes.
Maybe I'm still hold Nintendo to their high standards when they had the NES and SNES, but they've let me down for the second generation in...
I WAS excited for this game until I saw some videos of it on Youtube. It seems, you go through one screen, kill 6 ninjas and then go to the next screen where you kill a few more ninjas, and so on and so on. There weren't any levels, from what I saw. This really bothers me because I was looking forward to this game.
I will have to see more to make this a must buy. Beautiful art, but if this game has no levels, then count me out.
Star Ocean games are always fun. I prefer this combat over turn based and these games always have tons of customizations that actually make you feel as though your characters are getting stronger and better. This one looks hot too.
You would need a big hard drive to fit all them games in and that would drive the price of the system up. UMDs are probably not going to go anywhere, and I hope it doesn't. I think Final Fantasy: Crisis Core is about 1.5 gigs. The new PSP is going to have to have quit a bit of memory if you are going to carry around more than a few games at once.
Ipod touch will have buyers, but it will not be a great gaming system. No buttons = no complex controls. You're not going to get...

You have to wait till after all the villagers get killed first though, then the pretty art comes.
But a touchscreen will NEVER replace buttons fully. (unless you want to play Bejewelled for the rest of your life.)
Touchscreens are nice, but for great controls in games, you NEED buttons. Even the DS has face buttons, shoulder buttons, and a d-pad because Nintendo knows more about gaming than Apple does.
I didn't know they were bringing anything out anytime soon? I don't do FPS, so the conduit is a no-no. I haven't bought a Wii game since Zack and Wiki and I liked that game.
Being a triple console owner, I always seem to leave my Wii in the corner collecting dust. So many games on the other 2 systems.
With that being said though, Madworld looks very awesome and so does Muramasa. Games that are graphically not clones of Gamecube games.
..I thought the controls could have been a little tighter. This game looks rediculously good. This game and Madworld are the only games I've looked forward to on the Wii in years, sadly.
and I enjoy me PSP way more than my DS. Aside from The Phantom Hourglass and Mario & Luigi RPG (GBA), I haven't seen any DS games that were anywhere near as good as the PSP God of War game. Chains of Olympus is still the ultimate handheld game imo.
On topic. Since I already have the old versions of these 2 systems, there's not enough reason to go out and buy EITHER one of these newer models. Now if it had a sliding screen like that one photoshopped picture, then maybe. ...
Once you hold one in your hands, you can just feel the quality. The great screen, the build quality, the amazing graphics, an awesome movie player, and a very useful mp3 player.
Nothing needs to be changed in this system for now. Just needs more games and better marketting. The UMDs are awesome and almost nonscratchable. Battery life on the system is 6 hours for UMD games, 10 hours for music.
Sony will not remove the UMD unless they can put at least a 20 gig ...
They need to bring back the original Fatty xbox controller and paint it gold. I'd buy it for sure!
but I love them both. Imagine a Gears game with Naughty Dog's graphics engine. Now that would be pretty awesome.
The Wii is King of my porcelain throne. DS is better.
