Did you say "Some mistakes"!? Microsoft has made a lot of mistakes! The problem is they're having a hard time learning from them, and a lot has to do with people giving them a free pass.

For 1) Who promotes day 1 releases to go to other platforms, especially when those othe platforms don't have the initial access requirements that your console has? Pertinent to PC's. Year's ago Microsoft flipped PC gamers the finger when it came to games and support, Now PC's get more support than their own console.

My thing is why even get in an uproar about it? When all one needs to do is get the platform it's available on. No anti-consumer practices here, because it's not like Sony has restricting access to their console so you can't play it.
The Switch is beasting it! It'll be interesting to see how it sells months into the next console generation after initial release sells have fell off?

If I remember Microsoft said themselves that Sony and Nintendo were not competition. Instead Google and Apple were. Me being frank! For someone they're not competing against....they sure have a lot to say about what they're doing.
Sure they do! But they operate through contractual agreements. The issue is Microsoft is trying to operate outside of those contractual agreements.
No doubt in my mind! But I don't think it's just because Sony has the bigger fanbase. Right now Microsoft messaging is all over the place, especially concerning their console's as in plural.
Why buy a console when the makers of said console pushes the narrative themselves you don't need it???? To me this beyond ludicrous! You don't see Sony saying you don't need a console, though you can play their games on PC's, Phones and Tablets.

Maybe because Microsoft wants to operate outside of Apple's Istore parameters and be directly downloadable outside the restrictions of having to be verified by Apple.

IMO I don't disagree with Apple wanting a cut, maybe not as big a cut, but seriously what company wants another competitor on their platform that in all likelihood would foremost take away from their revenue stream?
