Tell that to anyone who favors something in this world,Pepsi or Cola,Apple or PC,Nvidia or AMD,religions or atheism,brands of sport cars,brands of telephones,brands of cloths,football teams,sport players,anime or cartoons .. etc etc.
You get the idea & you probably have loyalty for something too,you just don't know it.
Why would it be dumped down? the architecture of next gen consoles is built around PC architecture.
If anything,it would be lazy developers fault,not consoles.

I appreciate you points and I agree with most of them,my point of the comments I made is that PC fanboys think a PC is just this God given device that can play anything you throw at it,which isn't the case for many PCs.
Console fanboys aren't far from it either,thinking so highly of their $400-$500 consoles when compared to a good PC,they got nothing on it,in the end of the day,a good gaming PC will outperform a console and there is nothing any console...

That is you're assuming that every console gamer buys their games @ $60,which isn't the case.
Not to mention that $60 games ARE available on PC as well(not including bundles or editions here,the ordinary game with nothing extra),not all games on PC are $10 less and that's another thing you got wrong.

Give me the specs of that PC that is $500 and can outperform the PS4,I'm interested to hear about it.
Put in mind that that same $500 PC is going to operate a heavy/demanding operating system(unless you're talking about the new Steam Machine) & is not as optimized as a PS4(or any closed system for that matter) so with lots of games you CAN'T have everything maxed out because of poor optimization.
