PC gaming is only growing at the moment because they are producing graphics like Crysis 2 DX11 and BF3. As soon as the new consoles come out, it'll probably die down again, until the new consoles become old again.
It happens every gen.
On the grand scheme of things PC gaming is tiny in comparison to console gaming. The large following of PC gaming on this site is due to most PC gamers being hardcore... and a hardcore gamer checks sites like this and comme...

is it true Epic will ban you if you play it before official release date or ban your unlocks like pre order bonuses? Someone on this site said that... I hope to get mine on monday from shopto.net, but im not sure whether to play it or not if this is the case.
PC is better, but it doesn't look like a generation leap to me. When the guy is climbing over the wall on PC, there are still some lower res textures.

The best version is the Gamecube version, which looked better than the PC version because the PC version was based on the PS2 version, which graphics were worse than the GC. What I don't understand is that they updated the PS2 graphics to HD when the Gamecube version looked a fair bit better!
its not old tech, its current tech. It's just not cutting edge. PS2 is old, 360 and PS3 are contemporary when it comes to games. Top of the range PCs are new tech/cutting edge.
I don't like the way people say its good for 'old tech'. It looks good full stop. We've seen better looking games than BF3 console before on PS3 and 360 but that's not to say this doesn't look good, especially for a multi-plat game.
crysis graphics on low, looks worse than Far Cry on high! If it was your fav game ever, you can't have played much before...

gaming wouldn't be as big as it would now without consoles. Consoles have been the reason for the gaming industry becoming the biggest in the world.

People seem to forget that the PC as a platform is dependent on its specs, and 99% of PCs owned can't play games to the standard of the PS3 and 360. END

fair play, I've never had to stop playing a game because of emotion... I wish I had to, as it would be total immersion.

I saw it on a mates 360. Its not a good looking game at all, its ugly not just compared to the PC version, but also other games. if he told me it was Bad Company 2 I would believe him.
