I am tired of hearing it will be innovative without seeing any proof of it, I am now expecting something special for E3.
Best news I've heard concerning FF, I've missed world maps and I'm glad they are making their comeback. Day one purchase.
Move adds more artillery to the PS3 weapon, it makes the PS3 the complete package as an entertainment system. Move is just an added attraction for prospective PS3 buyers.
Also the wii is not that much cheaper when you add the prices of all its peripherals
However much I disagreed with some of his views it's always sad to see someone loosing their job. Good luck to him in his future endeavours.
I have no problem with how long the game is, Bayonetta & Batman AA were about the same length. Trophies will also add to the length so I'm not really bothered.
I understand not agreeing with someone's opinion but there's no reason to call them idiots, it only makes it seem personal like they are attacking your favourite console.
Way too expensive, I cannot see 3D TV taking off quickly if they don't start with reasonable prices.
I don't see any reason why MS and Sony need to be embarrassed, Nintendo may have started the Motion control gaming but they by no means have any right to have a monopoly on it. Consoles borrow ideas from each other, if you are the first to bring something to the table and it is successful then expect others to copy.
Nintendo should be used to being copied, they were the first to bring the game-pad, shoulder buttons and during the 90's most developers tried their hardest to copy...
Edge reviews just don't apply to me, I realised that they do not appreciate games the same way I do so I never really consider their opinion (both good and bad) when buying games.
Guys like Adam Sessler of G4 is one of those reviewers I always enjoy listening to because I believe he has the right opinion of games. His recent description of GOW3 on his soapbox is exactly what excites me about the GOW3.
Shouldn't the writer wait for MS to announce the price for Natal as well as name any peripherals that might be added to it. I would not be surprised if MS add their own wiimote/PSMove add-on to Natal as it would make a lot of sense.
A quick look at how other XBOX peripherals are priced should have made the writer think first before writing this crap.
The name really signals sony's intention for the peripheral, it just confirms it as something to attract the casual gamers.
I will definitely be picking it up when released as I don't think motion control is is such a bad thing (like most people think), I just think nintendo have given it a bad reputation.
Its obvious why its getting a higher rating, Xbox sites and magazines are rating it higher than the Playstation magazines and sites.
That was far from impressive, I remembering being in awe when they showed off Unreal engine 3 in GDC 08 but these just did not have the wow factor.
When I initially saw the heading of this link I thought HHG was talking crap and he should realise that review's are just a personal opinion, but the more I listened the more I had to agree with a few of his points.
The thing I agree with mostly was his Presentation point, IGN needs to clarify what they mean by presentation beacuse reading form their different reviews its clear that nobody at IGN fully understands the criteria and nor do they go by the IGN ratings and reviews gui...
I seriously think this old excuse that the PS3 is too hard to develop for should have died ages ago, it might be difficult but it sure as hell is not impossible. Valve are not the only developers that have had problems with it at the start but the different with them and other developers is that they gave up.
If all developers had their mindset then we would all still be playing 16 bit consoles.
I hope they don't, square seem to be doing the FF series more harm than good at the moment. What I'll say to square is Please leave this classic alone and focus on improving future FF games and also look at the things that made that game great and try to replicate it, please do not remake FF 7.
Disagree with 9 and to some extent 8 but 10 (X2 also) and 12 I agree with. 10 seemed like a lazy effort to me, with similar enemies (just different colours) and the first FF that removed the explorable world map (worst move ever) and replaced it with a dull flat map.
One of the most exciting things in FF was when you recieved your ship (Invicible, Highwind, Ragnarok e.t.c) it allowed you to explore the vast terrain and it made you have the feeling of being on another world and not an ...
They have thrown down the gauntlet and now every hacker will be competing to be the first to hack it.
Usually I feel bad for developers when these sort of things happen but the security implemented in AC2 seems a little over the top.
All it does is ruin the experience for the legitimate users, and unfortunately for Ubisoft the hackers will hack it.
Let it go E.A, it just makes you look like a bunch of idiots who lack sense of humour.
