When halo 2 launched. Everyone was saying it wouldn't live up to the hype. People are still playing it, which equals it to games like starcraft, counter-strike. People don't sit around playing the same game for years to prove a point to the naysayers. Halo 3 will be no different.

The reason there isn't any info coming out for games in the future from Microsoft is because the individual publishers and developers will be releasing that info all throughout e3. The IPs are their property, not Microsofts.
