Well, firstly...I'm part of the G.A.P. (gaming advisory panel) we have our own boards on the forums, we recieve preference for beta's ect ect....I've always loved the fact that sony did this (even before i became a G.A.P member) it made me say..wow they really want thier gamers to speak up.
frequently we are visited and in conversations with game devs and high lvl sony brass, the don't sugar coat...they are straight up and honest for the most part

You know I'm sure there's a check in the mail every month/year for EDGE magazine from the good ole boys at M$, but when you are that blatant about your bias, people usually stop paying attention to you....and no fanfare means your bias will have little effect.
I don't know one person that has mentioned EDGE when making a decision to buy a video game. I'm sure there are, but they probably are all xbox fans, cause if I bought K...
