Well, I read somewhere that Forza 5 utilized 90% of XB1 potential.. this is not "it's limits".. if it's true that Forza gets close to 100% of it's potential, then this is a great shame.

But IMO this is false. I thing XB1 has yet a lot to give.

This just backfired. Have you developed anything for OpenGL? Do you know how much easier it is than to develop for DX?

Let me tell you something. PS4's kernel is heavily based on Linux, and Linux graphical part is based on OpenGL. This is NOT to say that the PS4 runs EXCLUSIVELY OpenGL.

What does this tell you?

Yep. PS4 is NOT obligated to run OpenGL, and Sony decides to keep it that way, it's still better than DX.

And h...

Of course it doesn't. 50% more power all around means system power. CPU is just a small part of that. And frankly, the less powerful one.
Most system applications now a days utilize the GPU for heavy coding. Even browsers have GPU utilization.

50% less power hungry CPU means better framerates at best. RAM is still slow, GPU is still not-as-fast...

IMHO it will translate into a better console overall, less hardware issues, less power consumption, l...

I don't know if people here are just clueless or are just trolling. Maybe just fanboys.

Anyway, I'll try to make it clear.

As for the 360, it WON'T receive this. The 360's GPU is heavily similar to those X1900 from 2005 and are HARDWARE HANDICAPED. They CAN'T run even DX10, let alone DX12. It's a DX9 with some DX10 features, but it's not even DX10.

Now, 50% less CPU power hungry means 50% more power? Totally inaccu...
