You got that right... I bought the game for 35£ at launch which is nearly equivalent to 65$ when I visited UK and the very next month, the price gets slashed to 45$ at a few outlets in my home town... Was Really pissed. Not that the game is bad, it's an AMAZING game, I would even call it the best multi-plat of 2009, but the prices dropped way too fast for this 1.
I ain't buying the next AC at launch.. Will wait 3-4 months when the prices drop to half.... Still gr...
Don't fall for this... Apple does this all the time. Start a false rumor of the price (1000$ iPad) and then release the product with half the price tag and the media think that this is a steal even when the product (iPad) costs around 200$ to build.....
Same might be the case here... I expect it to be priced at 100$ if MS wants a mass market share... 200$ would just be as disastrous as a 600$ PS3 launch and lets say Nintendo announces Wii2 at 250$ at E3 lol, then it'...

I am a little bit nervous about this.. I have it pre-ordered for my PS3, but these recent claims about it being Sub-HD are really giving me the signals to change that for the 360. Is it really component? It works on the same GTA engine and PS3 was 640P there, so this might as well be the case. Also R* hasn't showed any PS3 footage... Same thing happened with FF13 360 and we know how that turned out..
Here is hoping the PS3 version is on par... I like the exclusive content...

Too early to judge GOTY... Too many huge games like RDR, LBP2, Halo, TLG (maybe), Fallout, Rage, Crysis... coming out. I doubt we will have a all GOTY sweeper like UC2 last year.
I am really intrigued by LBP. If it lives up to all it's claim, then it will be really hard to not tag it as GOTY.. It's bringing something new to the table unlike most other 2010 games.
E3 used to be fun actually before this whole frenzy of rumors and speculations on the internet began. We used to be 'Blown away', but now most of the major announcements are known even before the show starts by some even list or someone leaking stuff out (still looking at TLG.... It got ruined a day before E3).
I also agree with the E3 winning topic... Utterly pointless and all the sites just to gather hits keep on reposting their opinion and N4G goes bonkers. It'...
I think the guy purposely does it to just be 'in' the news. People know about Pachter cause he gets most of his predictions WRONG and laugh at him... But that still lets him be 'in' the news. Just imagine a bizarre world where Pachter would get stuff right, then he would just be 'ANOTHER' analyst.

I remember a year back when PS3 was something like 8-9 million behind and we had the doom and gloom articles.
And why do people keep forgetting that the PS3 still is at 299$, the PS2 launch price!!!!! Lets say Natal pulls the 360 ahead, but Sony is bound to drop the price sometime and if 299$ could virtually slash the 360's lead in half, a 199$ PS3 would cement it's 2nd pla...

@Kancerkid- What if they implement MLAA like that of GOW3? That technique gives a much more smoother AA than MSAA (gives about 8x equivalent) which is much more superior to the usual 2x which the 360 gives. Crytek always comes out with "we are maximizing the PS3" talk, and I always feel that devs should take up MLAA for better results. Maybe that is the way Crytek is going.

Heavy Rain is awesome. I thought the game won't even break a million in sales, but it's selling surprisingly well. Good for Son, Heavy Rain and GOW3 are raking in a lot of $ for Sony.
