I agree. I want new experiences not held back by last gen systems. Next gen should mean just that.....next gen. I think Microsoft are making a big mistake saying all the games for the first 2 years or so will be playable on last gen systems. That means they truly won't be next gen until well after next gen is supposed to have started. Jmho.

That trailer sucked but I love R.A. Salvatore's Drizzt novels. I love Drizzt and the Companions of the Hall so I hope the game is good because I will be buying it no matter what. Been yearning for the chance to play as Drizzt. There was a game back on ps2 I believe that allows you to play as Drizzt but I'm surprised there aren't more considering the great amount and quality of source material there is for Salvatore's characters.
I haven't played tlou2 but I'm wondering if any of the people calling it a crap game have actually played it. I can't judge the game because I haven't played it.
I don't like the sound of this. Give me 3 great, huge games.....maybe 4 but little tid bits at a time will ruin this remake. Don't go the nickel and dime rout.... give us true masterpiece games. It shouldn't take too long because the base and building blocks for each game are there now.
Why all the disagrees
What money. You'd be stupid to buy gears 5. Just sign up for game pass for 2 bucks for 2 months and play it and beat it then. Microsoft screwed up so bad this gen they are practically giving all their games away. Desperate measures that still did not help them get close to Sony this gen. With the purchases of some great game developers like obsidian they may stand a chance of righting the ship next gen but for this gen.....game over.
If they do this mid gen upgraded console release with the new consoles I'm going to be pissed, and done with consoles. I may as well game on PC if I gotta purchase 2 or 3 consoles from the same company within one generation.
Set the new standard at the end of the consoles life cycle....big deal. This happens every generation, especially with first party exclusives. First party developers should be able to max out the consoles by this point in the consoles life cycle so it's not a surprise gears 5 looks great. Why is this even a story.
I can't wait to play this game and unlike alot of people, I'm not looking for a reason not to.

I wish Bethesda would have remastered Oblivion instead of Skyrim. I wish they would remake Morrowind. I mean you're making us wait this long for the next entry into the series so at least give us one of those. We didn't need Skyrim on the new consoles, it was still pretty fresh on our minds when they came out.

What I don't want is mid gen upgrades like we had this generation. When I buy ps5 I want to know that a better version of it with better specs isn't coming a year later. I didn't like when PS4 pro, Xbox s, and x were released. It's one thing to release a slim version of your console or even a discless one but to release basically a new system that with better specs and that can do more than the original iteration is like a slap in the face to early adopters. What developers need to do is not support this weaker console microsoft is putting out. It's that simple. Why does the series s have to bottle neck an entire console generation, just don't make your games for it. Make your games for true next gen consoles and if the series s can't handle it then so be it.
