I disagree. There have already been rumors of ND's projects. They simply will not be announcing them too far off from release anymore as Sony previously stated.

Actually, an investment IS a loss. The investment will need to pay for itself until any revenue in excess of the original payment is considered profit.

I know you are ego tripping right now because MS's only strength so far has been to use its capital to subsidize their gaming division. But unfortunately for you, Sony DOES have the funds to make big moves and the market position to provide a feasible economic package to any would be targets. If Sony decides to purchase anyone, they will not have to pay nearly as much as MS because Sony offers the greater market share of consumers.

The FTC is incompetent. They haven't even been able to stop the cell phone-internet-cable telecommunication mega mergers. That is why my internet provider screws its consumers and no one can stop them.
The FTC has not been successful in any of these battles. They couldn't stop any mega mergers before. At this rate I don't know what is their function.

But the term “gaas focus” only appears to apply to Sony whereas everyone else is doing it too.
Even though Sony doesnt even have a gaas game yet, they already get criticized for “being gaas focused”. There are lots of “gaas focused” games out, but no one mentions that (i.e. Diablo).
