In 1993 huh?

I guess she didn't have a cell phone to carry around then, so maybe lugging this along wasn't too much of an inconvenience for her.

But then again running your own game development company and creating your own system to play on would have been way more convenient than playing on the same system as everyone else.

Agreed,
Politics and affirmative action have no place in persuading how any form of art should be created unless the creators of said art desire it so.

How in the world can anyone know if the main character in games are transgender or not already? If they do not talk about their genitals or show them, then you can't truly know.

I guess I'm old school, and tend to prefer to use my imagination and make a best guess as to what sex the main character in a game is.

So how do they plan on letting us know if the main character is a tranny? Are they going to have to talk about it or shove it in our faces, s...

STFU please.

Are you kidding, the movie looked gorgeous. That's the only thing that shouldn't be up for debate, but oh well.

This is NOT a video game movie.

Resident Evil is a video game movie.
Tomb Raider, is a video game movie.

The only thing FF:Spirits Within has in common with Final Fantasy, the video game, is the name in it's title and the same employees working on the CGI.

These 2 things do not make it a video game movie.

Can't it be both?

I like video games and money too.

I'm pretty sure they go hand in hand actually.

Does the concept of 'good business practices' mean anything to you?

I tend to get more bang for my buck by purchasing consoles from companies who actually are focused more on what consumers want out of a 'gaming system'. I've got a computer and a TV to do anything else I 'd like to do.

Sony won this generation just as much as Microsoft lost it. It doesn't have anything to do with pixel counts, but you keep telling yourself that.

This game is just too much fun. Rhythm fighting at its finest.

I can't help but want to 100% this game, and I hardly ever feel that way.

Ha, and here I was thinking it was a brilliant game design decision. The first stealth kiss. I thought that was awesome.

Guess I'm just not cool enough to hate on something so cool...wait...I'm confused now.

If you haven't got branding unlocked yet then you'll have some more options then. Just because you cant hurt him with anything but fire doesn't mean the same thing holds true for their captains.

Given the way Sony has built and marketed the PS4 it is obvious they have learned much through their experiences with PS1-3. The lessons have taught them much about when to take the hit in hardware sales, when to do prices cuts, when to expect the big profits which is their main goal.

It would not surprise me that even though the PS4 has a good lead on their main competitor, they know that profit can still be increased in the future by taking even more hardware hits even whi...

Ahh FFXII, the game that keeps on shitting.

FF13 should be on that list.

In some ways, but that sort of graphic style allows for different gameplay mechanics to be utilized. Somethings look fine in an anime-ish format vs. realistic. Both are good, I just think they should shake things up like that.

Yeah, but the new generation has no clue what these games are like. It was a subset of the people from generation x that wanted them to move beyond turn based games. It was though who were drawn into FF due to its popularity and didn't like turn based much to begin with.

Some like it, some don't. It a gamer thing, not a gaming evolution thing.

The newer generation of gamers would consist of some who would very much dig a turn based game and some wh...

I don't know about that. FF 6 and 7 had very good stories that you wanted to know what would happen next and both created a great disdain for the main villain which is very important for this series.

I think graphics are the big thing preventing them from doing this. Could you imagine Chrono Trigger presently with realistic graphics. It wouldn't work. It would need to be in some sort of cartoon style, which would work.

It's a game, it needs to play in a fun way. There is no need for a fantasy game to look realistic. It can be nice, for sure, just not necessary like Square seems to think it is. FFIX was able to be silly and fun due to how they presented the worl...

Another issue that tends to get overlooked, is the graphics. Square wanted so much to keep pushing the boundaries of graphics which led to the FFXIII series and tends to be the main reason a FFVII remake will never occur. They think that people wouldn't play a game with painted backgrounds, but they would be mistaken. Nobody is asking for a full fledged 3D world.

If I were to make a new FF game, I would do the following:

1. Go back to turn based. Peopl...
