Make new games not refreshed ones we have already played.
It's going to be doubtful it hits this holiday season. Sony is great at being late to the show and then wondering why their sales are low. The ongoing failure of the PSP should have sent Sony a message that they should have stopped working in the handheld market. The price is going to be an issue with this handheld. And what about games and development? Are we really going to get games that will be priced the same as console releases?? I'm sorry but I am just not going to pay 49...
To me it doesn't look like that much of an improvement. I'm going to wait on this one for now.
However put Heavy Rain on that list needs to be beaten. The game was horrible.
These are not AAA releases by any means. Only one is a true new game and it's a follow up to a crappy sequel.
I think that Sony needs to release this handheld with less features, like the bottom touch sensitive screen. I think like many newer gadgets the excess of features are often ignored for the basic use. Look at the 3DS's ARCards, outside of launch, there is pretty much nothing to do with them. it's gimiky at best.
There is no vs. in this area. Dark Souls if it carries the same format from Demons Souls will be an heavy action skill/reaction based game. Where Skyrim is going to have heavy story and dialog selection including it's own action format. Both worthy of purchase in my book.
Why they are not saying in the article is that they are going to use Origin as the digital delivery system. What EA needs to embrace is that they will not see much success with trying to do this. STEAM is the clear winner. Direct2Drive is bearly surviving and 30% of the games D2D sells you need Steam to install and run. The recent pulling of Crysis2 from Steam because of EA's need to push Origin is a greedy move that will not pay off for them.
It doesn't matter, because fans have been jilted, no one is going to buy this next FF game. They need to move past this series, it hasn't been the same since X, that was really their swan song, XII has some good moments, but that's pretty much it.
Really the only big thing tech wise that anyone can bring to the table is standard native 1080p resolution output. Better AA and filter settings. A sleeker more refined design footprint as well. Other then that the masses will be fine with what is out there because the PC market has took such a hit, it's going to be hard to gain back much ground.
Too many games do the 'limited edition' thing these days. Plus the things that come with the games normally are not really worth it. Most gamers must have at least 6+ statues of one figure or another. And it's just collects dust. I mean I have my Helgast helmet in my basement to scare the mice away. And I have no room in my house for it.
I agree with you. DICE remembers where they got started.
Dear EA ala DICE, please just make the game you were going to and don't worry about COD. It's like over a dozen MMO's that have tried to take out WoW over the past 6+ years. It just will not happen.
The Move controller was fun for about 5minutes and then it quickly became lame. Biggest PS3 regret purchase since Haze
I don't believe that for a second. M$ is PUSHING kinect not the audience. As it has been proven, only the workout and dance game audience is what is bringing in the sales on kinect. All other sales have dropped off. The novelty has worn thin. If you don't believe me, if you are in the US go to pretty much any Gamestop and look at the average number of used kinects for sale. I'll bet you there are any wheres between 3 to 7 on hand at any given store.
No it won't, as much as I have gotten sick of the COD series, it's going to sell like hotcakes. EA can boast all they want, but COD will win the sales war this fall. Plus EA has yet to put an official release date on BF3.
Why did they do that? Now everyone knows what they are showing. What is wrong with surprising people?
Nothing for the Playsation 3, that is for sure, so over this PSN/Sony hack crap. They have proven how horrible of a company they are.
Announce everything days before showing it at E3? Like everyone else does?
When you divorce yourself from the 60fps goal and operate at 30fps, you are allowed to put more things on the screen at one time. If you put any of the COD's next to BF:Bad Company 2 you really can see the depth and quality of Bad Company 2, and the fact it's running at 30fps really doesn't matter. I mean look at this current generation of consoles, both the 360 and PS3 'can' display native 1080p resolution graphics, but they do not. 95% of the games are 720p or 640p up...
