No, TLOU was heavily inspired by Cormac McCarthy's The Road.
A lot of the key scenes - the memento, the scene with the animal, the cannibals , the look and the setting are very similar, even the ending.
But that doesn't make the game any less enjoyable.
But the thing is, writing in video games is good, but still has a long way to go to match the best movies.
I'd say it's harder for games because you have to account for interactiv...
Alan Wake 2 - that's what I want to see!
I was thinking that too.
TR deserves a lot more credit than people give it.
If it's a PS4 slim , with 4K video capabilities I'd be fine with that.
I just don't want anything that'll segregate the community - a lot of hardcore fans ran out and bought the console day one, having to by another console three years later just to be able to play the latest games would be like a kick in the teeth.
The same goes for the NX and supposed Xbox upgrade - if it splits the community, or if devs have to make multiple versions of the same ...
I like it.
I'm not sure what everything does yet, but I like it.
Great game, I hope it gets a sequel someday.
@Claudio
I see where you're coming from.
And definitely, the power and sales difference in both consoles probably has the MS sales team worried. But I seriously doubt they'll just sit there and do nothing.
They seem pretty confident with the cloud tech. Then again there are lot's of rumors going around about upgrades, new consoles etc , so who knows? We'll see at E3.
How do you measure success? It's not like ever...
If you don't like it that's fine, there's plenty of other stuff to play.
But if it works like it's supposed to , online co-op full scale city destruction - that looks like fun to me, lol.
Define save - it's not going to catch up with the PS4 in terms of sales - but so long as it's successful/profitable that's fine.
The Wii outsold the X360 and PS3 , but that didn't stop them being great consoles with great games did it?
It's the technology behind Crackdown which is important, if, IF it works, then they'll be able to make games that go far beyond what the console is capable of natively - how is that in anyway bad?
So long as Crackdown 3 works as advertised I think it'll be fine.
There's been no news for a while - but I'm really looking forward to trying out what that tech is capable of.
Gears 4, Forza Horizon 3, Cuphead, Halo Wars 2 and possibly Sea of Thieves - looks good to me.
Personally I liked QB a lot - I am a fan of Remedy games however, and I can see why it won't appeal to everyone.
Sony and Nintendo fans have a lot of c...
Nice, Guile AND his stage. I hope we see more classic stages make a comeback.
The amount of confirmation bias in the comments is staggering.
It seems opinions are facts all of a sudden.
I like these daily takedown/execution vids. Lol at the swarm in the back of the truck.
Looking good so far, only a few days left!
Gameplay looks decent, stages look pretty big, but yeah it does look early in development and a lot of basic effects are missing - (non of the characters are casting shadows.)
Looking forward to the beta , I'm sure the final product will look great!
For me it was close to 10 hours apprx.
I'm supposed to be revising for my exams - the only way I've been able to play QB is late at night when everyone thinks I'm asleep, lol.
I've been playing one act a day + watching the show, on average I start around 1am, go to sleep before 4am.
So that's apprx 2 hours per act not including the TV show. I have been searching for collectibles and reading everything though, it would be shorter if...
That looks pretty good, currently it's only for people in the US/Canada and Puerto Rico.
The rules say if you've already pre-ordered (anytime after November 2013) you should get a code emailed to you.
I'd definitely like to see Sony do something like this for gamers in other regions too.
I hope it's a new Soul Reaver/LoK game using the TR engine.
Troll bait if ever I saw it, don't fall for it guys.
Great game - really enjoyed it.
I like the idea of a challenge mode (suggested in the review.)
It'd be nice to see game-play oriented DLC that has you make use of the time powers in different ways - maybe something like 'arcade mode' from Alan Wake American Nightmare.
Remedy has been heading this way for a while.
Alan wake did have it's own mini live action series 'Bright Falls', plus American Nightmare had live action cut-scenes.
Plus both had mini spoof live action TV shows viewable in game.
QB is like a mixture of all of the above.
