considering that the old 60 gig ps3's played ps2/1 games perfectly with no problem. Why cant we do it now?
I havent been able to play it since the game came out. i think it is only affecting the launch 60gb ps3's check your manufacture date if its 2006 - march 2007 then it is launch edition.
I called them about the GTA4 Issue with freezing on launch 60gb PS3. they are doing just what they did w/ 360 and are going to replace my PS3 free of charge w/ another 60 gig im sure it wont have the emotion enging inside and be just like the 80gig with ps2/1 sofware emulation.
If you are having problems call the number for customer support and when you get to the menu of choices press 0 and then tell them to transfer you to the department that is handleing the GTA4 freezing i...
Has anyone called The number that has a 60gb with freezing issues? what did they tell you? The told me that R* put out an update (ver.1.5) yesterday and that is supposed to fix the freezing issue. I have not had a chance to try it yet. Anyone in here have?
Which is why it says to call PS3, NOT R*.
that the freezing problem is a sony problem. If you think about it. It is related to the way the 60 GB PS3's have a chip that plays PS2 games, something that the other versions dont have. The CEO said that there are no glitches with GTA4 which if it is indeed Sony's problem then there are infact no glitches with freezing on GTA4. So we may have to wait for Sony to put out an update.
I wonder if this will open up the possiblitiy of having PS3 homebrew?!
dont know if its just mine i also got the red guitar and the game did not have online multiplayer.
