I doubt Sony and M$ have anything to worry about with the new nintendo console. After all the majority of the games nintendo release are pure rubbish and it will sell just as wel as the wii which outsold the Xbox360 and PS3 so why would they be more worried now.
@Soren : I have two PS3 Six Axis controllers that are four years old and are still working as good as the day I got them. Also you dont need to buy the remote controls because the controller does a perfect job for controlling videos. I never bought a remote control.
If they rush the console(s) you know for sure they will screw something up. Its a 100% guarantee because IT WAS RUSHED!
@NukaCola : I thought the Xbox360 has less than 1GB of memory..................... Oh wait your making the same mistake I saw so many times when I was working in a computer repair shop. You are calling the Hraddrive memory.
I dont care about Kinect. I had an official Xbox 360 wheel by M$ and the thing was terrible. If theyre going to do a wheel for Forza 4 at least make a proper wheel.
Not any more.
UHUH thats why a quad core I7 is over 280 euro.
At least I'm not a fan of online gaming fo I dont care which network works or not.
Three reasons I bought my PS3 : (1) Blueray films (2) It upscales DVD's (3) GT5. I only had one reason to buy an Xbox 360 and that was Forza 3.
I will buy the game , but I wont use Kinect.
The last good NFS game in my opinion was underground 2> Its a pitty they dont do a game the same as underground two but with a bigger map.
Why wouldnt their profits be up? If you fart around anything branded Microsoft (including employees) they will charge you for that.
I would agree with your specs but if those specs were in the next console I would see it costing 3,000 - 5,000 euro. An 8 core CPU alone is over three hundred euro.
A console wouldnt need 13GB for its OS because the OS doesnt do much really. The ram is needed for HD Textures and AA in high resolutions. I say at least 2GB for graphics and 1GB for the OS.
They should work on the OS in such a way that it is very similar to the PS3 OS so that DEVs would find it easier to move on to the PS4 / Xbox without having to change their dev kits too much. Maybe they could just update the OS (Like moving from Vista to windows 7) which would help.
I think they should have seperate ram for the system. So they should have 1GB System ram and 4GB graphics ram with dual graphics chips that have 2x 2GB ram. The only problem would be cooling the system down. Their biggest problem will be designing a cool looking case (because everybody that will want a console wont settle for anything less than fancy) that will allow good airflow , that will not restrict cooling and a case that has cooling that wont be too loud.
I dont play games for their trophies. As a matter of fact I wish those things didnt exist because they are useless. they do nothing for the game itself.
@hellszupernova : Either your being sarcastic or you dont have a clue about building PC gaming rigs. You cant just simply overclock hardware and hope its stable without testing it and you have to watch the tempertaures because overclocked PC hardware get hot and need extra cooling to keep it from burning up. Also writing programs isnt as easy as you would think.
This is why it takes so long for research and development. they first have to research the hardware that they are ...
Its microsoft your talking about. If its cloud based your almost guaranteed to pay to save your games.
ExgamerLegends : Consoles are holding PC gaming back because most games are developed for consoles first and the graphics on console games isnt near as good as what the high end PC's can handle. Nvidia and ATI are releasing new graphics cards the whole time and its a total waste of time buying a high end graphics card with the past year and a half , because most games ported from consoles will play on graphics cards a year and a half old at their highest settings without breaking a sweat....
