I think you need to ask yourself why someone that sucks at games wants to spend there life reviewing them? I hear all the points that your making and I'll agree that they have dumbed down some of there hand to hand mechanics but I have to tell you that if you think the combat is mediocre and repetitive then I don't think that the action genre is for you.

That's because ign and polygon are social justice sites not games journalism sites and everyone knows that SJW's suck at games.

Let's not get too crazy here chubby, gears was a good trilogy but it was far from doing anything out of the ordinary. It was a regular-assed cover shooter with a cool art style and a fancy way to reload your weapon. The uncharted games blend action and cinematic together to create what I think is the closest thing we have to interactive movies. Gears is good but uncharted is great.
The worst part is is that people who play cod think that they are good at fps's, when in actuality it's just being on the right side of a shitty p2p connection that determines the outcome of cod matches.
Right, they make the most money by far and still dont have dedicated servers. More proof that consumers are uninformed morons. Bend over you morons, cod is coming.
It's not the people complaining about the scores so much as its the abnormally low scores that we see today. Does anyone really believe that uncharted 4 is a 4 out of 10?
