Exactly, It's bad buissness to let people know that your going to drop the price before you do it. It's like saying to your bud, "Hey, you can buy these beer's I've got for 10 dollars or you can wait untill tomorrow and get them for free.
Sony knows that customers aren't stupid, they will wait untill you've droped the price before they buy your products. The best thing is to wait untill a major event comes along and then surprise everyone with a price drop so as many as poss...

Gamecube might have higher rated games than the PS2 but not more high rated games. Let me ask you a question.
If lets say FF17 comes out for PS2 and 10 sites score it between 9-10.
Then a random "Duck Hunt Reloaded" game comes out for gamecube and no more than 1 site reviews it and scores it a perfect 10.

I mean where is the strategy?
When you build up your base it's either go all out on Air troops or go all out on ground troops (Or both). Then mash em together (upgrade) and attack the main commandcenter as anything else is a waste of time. On top of that your base pretty much defends itself with the turret placements in all four corners so there are no strategic placement of buildings either.

I can't really agree with you there. Back in the PS1 era we got like maybe 1-2 really good games over the course of 3 years.
Now we get like 15 good games each year. I'd say that this era is abit better to be a gamer in =)
This game really looks like it makes you feel as powerful as a superhero/god amongst men.
Imagine your in a town full of people going about thier buissness when suddenly a battle horn sounds off and outside there is a large army of another kingdom waiting to raid the town. That could lead to some huge moral choices, either sneak out and leave the town to it's doom or help fight the invaders. These events would happen randomly by A.I and have no strings attached to the player.

But for me it kept me hooked untill the end. The strange thing about it is that it didn't make me feel like a hero nor a villian. It pretty much shows you that in war no one is either good or bad, it's all a grey mist.

Well VG charts doesn't have a clue on anything outside the NPD, basicly no one does.
It could be more or less on Microsofts part but im pretty sure Sony and M$ are neck in neck given the latest software sales of both systems.
You will probably have to:
A: Buy abunch of coke.
B: Register your number and/or adress so you get a lifetime of coke advertisement shoved up where the sun don't shine.
C: Have something really messed up happen to you and film it so the world can see.

Nothing beats jumping off buildings and swinging around town in an open world game. But as long as it feels seamless going from point A to point B, i'm pretty much still buying it.
They've done everything they can to sink the PS3 and still it comes out on top.
It would be incredible.
- Some of us like being scared while playing a game which predecessor scared the living crap out of us.
- Some of us likes ordinary zombies that doesn't have the intelligens to wield weapons, they just act on thier most basic instinct, to feed.
- Some of us feel that a great franchise has been destroyed by idiots that hasn't been there from the beginning of the Resident evil era.

I mean they've been pretty much smashed with how Killzone 2 looks like a CGI trailer, SF4 as a multiplat is selling better on the PS3 and Ninja guiden 2 is no longer exclusive.
