There isn't currently a subscription requirement, you're right. But I foresee this becoming a thing they push a subscription for. They will require all pc games from sony to have the sony launcher/account and then force a subscription to play online multiplayer on those games. It's the only reason they'll hang on to this if they do.

Who cares??? There's next to no story/lore in this game and for good reason - because there doesn't need to be. Fun for the sake of being fun. I've never played monster hunter wondering if I'm the bad guy for killing the monsters.

Didn't say it didn't happen my dude. I just think that this is being used to position themselves in a place of sympathy after pissing EVERYONE off. These guys are good with their social presence, that's how they got here in the first place. At the same time though, everyone on the internet has gotten death threats before. If you have a twitter, you've probably received a few, or you haven't really tweeted. That said, to announce it like that is just using it to get everyon...

You guys are being played. Check any time any bad news comes out from Blizzard, days later their community manager comes out and announces the death threats that have been thrown their way. Agreed that it shouldn't happen, and there's probably a few, but you'll notice that this "announcement" always happens after really bad news from a studio. It's 100% used to garner sympathy and mask/distract from the bad news that preceded it. Also makes everyone calm down and not...

Good. Live events are good and keep games going for a long time. This is a good thing for those that want their game to last more than a week and a half. If you want a single player game with story and super structured missions, might I recommend Ghost of Tsushima. Even they realized people were done with the game and it needed new life, so they added multiplayer.
