The slider is more useful than side-by-side comparisons. The jaggies are horrible on the low side and there is dust on the ultra.
One more day to go!
While I thought at first that being unranked meant that we cannot progress to unlock all weapons/attachments, this is somewhat comforting to know that playing in those servers are a different experience in itself from the public matchmaking. Only that quite a few players may stay out of the unranked servers and admins may have a hard time attracting regular players. I don't know, but that's how I see it happening.
Yep, I was looking for anything specific about Dedi's being Ranked, but IW is still evasive about it even in this latest effort to answer "All" FAQs.
I got no choice but to use Origin - BF3 and Mass Effect 3 are coming (I expect ME3 won't be available in Steam).
If anybody does not want to run Origin and Steam at the same time, it's as simple as logging off from any one of them. It's a little inconvinient but nothing life threatening. For now I will treat Steam as my primary and keep Origin off unless I want to play some game on it.
It's only 10 bucks now at Steam!!! It was $19.99 just this morning Woohoo!
the other night I saw Arkham Asylum was selling for $20 on Steam. Are you still hoping for its price to get lower? (It might - we never know hehehe).
Edit: and it's the GOTY version. Okay I'm buying this tonight. I got one week to play until BF3.
We can't fault that man if his choice is 360. While work and play on a PC are different (I work on a PC almost all day, but going home at night I still like to play on my PC, which is hardly called work at all) it's his right to play some game on a different platform/chair/couch.
This article shouldn't start a flame war.
Don't stifle progress. :-) In the future these advancements in graphics will have its practical use. Everything has to improve somehow. Remember computers are just too precise, and there will be techniques to simulate real life.
The graphics you see in consoles nowadays (I assume you only play on console since you said you don't understant the "obsession") were still new and experimental in the late 90's and early 2000's, but the norm today. Otherwi...
That's called progress.
In my experience with PC games in the 90's, developers usually pushed the graphics beyond the mainstream PC's back then. The effect was that 1) not everyone was able to enjoy the maximum graphics, but 2) they were part catalyst/incentive for hardware manufacturers to develop better hardware, which when consumers were able to afford those PCs or computer parts to run the games in max graphics (meanwhile game devs were already making another...
Not only for the graphics, but also I expect the speedier loads for the save/load/map changes.
If a title is multiplat I will get the PC version first. If there is no PC version, I'll get either PS3 or 360.
Looks promising.
I just started replaying New Vegas two days ago. Fallout is great!
But does that work on a PS3? I never tried it.
If you don't care about any of that, then just stick with consoles, and save your money. Spare the hate for the terrorists please.
Ah the Elitist word. Contempt adjective.
As a PC gamer, I'm glad others now see the advantages of Keyboard and Mouse for FPS over the controller. Unfair to those who can't afford the extra peripheral.
Ignorance is Bliss.
Some are blind to the fact. Pardon the pun.
That disappointed fan made a big deal out the DICE's making the PC the lead platform for this title. I don't know what his issue was about DICE's focus.
Some (not all) gamers nowadays easily get offended for myriads of reasons, especially if it concerns putting his/her platform of choice in a bad light.
What can we do to get out of this stereotype? Accept all platforms' strengths and weaknesses and game on!
Origin is also digital distribution like Steam. You're going to pirate a game if it comes from Origin and not Steam the reason being...?
No comment. :-P
