I'm not sure we're going to completely agree on this. I mentioned myself that it was difficult to compare as the game isn't on the pc. It is very linear game, but my point was simply that it plays to the strengths of the machine and by doing that, achieves more than it would, if it wasn't highly optimised for that set of hardware, on the same hardware.
I've also mentioned that it makes a difference but haven't made a mention of exactly how much, so at ...
Then tell me why we have games like uncharted 2/3 looking so good, and by extention, in my opinion better than what a similar pc can run with the same resolution and the same framerate ? Oh, if you were going to say optmisation, and playing to the consoles strengths. Well, that's just it. Since the processor works so well for a streaming enviroment and at procedual generation.

If the pc has the same setup as the console, like I said, the console, with games optimised for it, will be able to outperform the pc because of the above mentioned fact. It's also noteworthy that pc games are not optimised for any given platform due to the widely different setups people can have.
By the same setup, I mean both CPU, GPU as well as the RAM, Harddrive and even the powersupply. You can repackage it in another tower. But similar specs include ram. And applica...
One crucial thing is that the games will be optimised for the machine, and the machine wont have to run a thousind things in the background. That alone allows it to perform a lot better in those games, than a similar pc rig would.
I hope it lives up to Metro 2033.. Oh, and preferebly with fewer bugs. The game was awesome, but spending 40-50 minutes in that mining cart was pretty long.. Especially since I had to do it, even if i reloaded :P..
Still though, game was worth it.

You could do this with mostly any microphone. The same is in binary domain and in ubisofts old title endwar.
I think the reboot itself is a good idea. Basing it around their lead designer, was not. I thought dmc 4 was Boring and stale, so im glad they are doing something new, and even interested in seeing what they conjure up storywise.. But unfortunately like someone else mentioned, they seem selfish in their pr, talking down to fans, especially of heavenly sword, which ironically probably got them most of their fans. Fans they've probably lost a lot of over time with their statements.

I Will admit that I've yet to read the full article. But I will say that I agree with the title. It used to be that games had real full expansion packs which often expanded all of the games content with many worthwhile additions. Today, developers tend to segregate their user base into multiple factions with hordes of dlc packs that might be cheap, but which content often match its price, causing many people to have different content than eachother, instead of everyone having the same, or...

Its awesome. That's what it is. And remarkably accurate at the same time.
Concidering that the film was filmed in 2d, the results were, in my opinion Amazing ! .. I thought it looked extremely well and so did the ones I went to the cinema with. The pod racer glasses are also surprisingly pleasant :P
It was much better than I had expected. Especially after hearing people beat on the 3d effect. I think I had 2 or 3 times during the movie where anything felt flat. Other than that, it was incredible.

Apparently the touchpad can be used for the missing buttons from the ps3 controller... (and, i'll assume, for the ps1 controller aswell)
They can still be behind even if they were ahead. Consider the move controller. Despite having the tech in R&D for years prior to, even the ps3 release, Sony is still behind because Nintendo implemented something similar at a consumer level first.
I dont understand why anyone would complain over a few guest characters. I dislike the way street fighter games work, but im half considering getting it just because of the guests, in particular megaman being completely awesome for once. A fat man in a blue suit? Epic.
