You think it's just a big coincidence that this statement happens on an xbox YouTube the right when it goes on game pass... I mean, I must be delusional to think Microsoft might offer kickbacks to developers who say things that benefit them or hurt their competitions.
I mean, after all, the whole world advertises for free. And, if there is one thing Microsoft is known for it's their altruism, and totally not mon...
"So why have I never seen a company come out and say how great adding themselves to PS Plus was for the title at hand, but this is the first time I've seen someone publicly criticizing the outcome of being, just, on PS Plus?"
Have you noticed that this was posted on an xbox youtube?
The benefit is keeping all Dual Senses on the same software revision, so they don't have to worry about compatibility when adding new features in newer games.
TLOU 2 is a 20+ hour, highly polished single player game. Halo: Infinite is a 6 hour, average game.
Halo: Infinite has a basic 90's style multiplayer with bare minimum content. Meanwhile, what we have heard about the TLOU multiplayer is that it's going to be a huge open world campaign.

Tencent does not control Epic. Epic is controlled by Tim Sweeny.
And I have not heard of any instance of Tencent trying to exert any control over the decision making.
Nor did you explain why Tencent would want to work against PlayStation, or why they would legitimately want to block an arrangement. Instead, you made generalizations with a negative undertone about what Sony may or may not do...
As far as I know, Microsoft hasn't invested money in Epic, I can't find any articles on Google that talk about them investing in this or any other Epic project.
They backed them in their case vs Apple (which personally I hope epic loses) and that seems to be the only thing I see that ties them together.
Sony has their own in house software that is far more mature than UE5. I can only assume they hope this will push VR which they are heavily invested in.
And of course if it was a Microsoft game, he would be defending it.
Microsoft has been shoving MTX in every game since 360, these same guys have been defending it for years, now all of a sudden Sony has a game with them, and now it's time to start complaining.
And of course lets not talk about the fact that the game will get free updates for years like GTSport did.
