To be honest, there's no hard number to give you, unfortunately. We'll have to wait until Sony and Microsoft release some numbers in terms of how many of their consoles will be available "day-one."

Apparently, on the forums, users are reporting that they have yet to receive a 20-digit code for the game, and even after following the instructions, others are reporting that those codes were already used. Very weird stuff.
Yea I agree with the last part. It would make sense were this to be an added service, and not THE way to play a PlayStation 4. I think it's too early to make another PlayStation that ONLY plays in the cloud. I don't think we're there yet, in terms of infrastructure.
I am an idiot. I looked at the question wrong, so apologies. There are a few specific things here and there that won't be available "day-one," such as the ability to record PS4 footage through its HDMI. According to Yoshida, that support will come in the form of a patch.
