Xbox emulates x360 games. It must download new code and uses discs as licence.
Ps5 has variable clock and can play ps4 discs, but
If the publisher gives free enhancements you will download new code buy using ps4 dick as licence.
If the publisher decides that those enhancements are not free, you will buy new code. Your ps4 disc will work on it as regular ....dude we don't know!

That game is awesome and brutal.
Later when you have high lv characters, it depends on luck and it kills them off very quickly.
It is very frustrating, and if I haven't played on a pc, where I copied save files, I would have never finished the game.
Maybe it's better now with all the updates...but man.

Downloading new code would apply only on enhanced / remastered versions, but that would come individually from publishers since...
