In my opinion that is nowhere near enough.
Personally, I hate the dashboard. It is absolutely littered with ads.
And yes, even if it is advertising games they are still ads. But since people are still happy with throwing money at Live I don't blame MS for doing this. Without any backlash from their actions they'll just keep dong it.
What should really be the case:
Paying for gold should get you ZERO ads, none what so ever and give silver members what the dash is now (even that is pushing it tho...

I can't see any other devs apart from Naughty Dog being able to save Crash. I think it is a testament to them that to this day i still play Crash 1-3 and Teaming Racing because they are amazingly well made and fun games.
And to top it off they've even managed to get the thumbsticks in the wrong place...
