No blu-ray is not needed. Multiple DVD's are fine, let them all be installed onto the hard drive and run off disc 1. Like with computers that have 6 discs, 1 is the play disc, the others are install discs. Why not?
I think you guys have it all wrong. They have improved on FF 13 with this new version, FF 13-2. This new version is now on 1 disc because it is only cut scenes and video. What they have removed is the gameplay, not the videos fools.
While I do agree with you all that doing drugs (alcohol) does go well with gaming, so does a nice tall glass of iced tea.
I don't believe in age ratings for games unless it is like this.

There is no proper age for when you should be able to play any game.
I played violent games when I was 12 (I am 30 now). Splatterhouse, Doom/Doom 2, etc..
These games were the most fun. I started modding games at age 12 as well, making new mods, new levels, new sounds/music, new maps.. etc etc..
I still play violent video games and love them. There is no age limit for any game except maybe hardcore porn games.

I would have to say that personally I am not a Gears fan. I have Gears of War 1 and play it occasionally and have still not beaten it because I can quickly get bored of how long the levels are. Still, it is a decent game.
I have never played Gears 2. I don't really have any interest to except for the campaign perhaps before playing Gears 3, to continue the story.

Multi Disc games are No big deal at all, as long as the developers let you install all the extra discs to the hard drive, and run off 1 disc.
Example, say you have a new game, Final Fantasy 18. It comes on 5 discs.. hmm, that sounds pretty harsh, but not so.
Insert disc 2, install to hard drive, insert disc 3, install to hard drive.. etc.
Now insert disc 1, play the game. When it comes time to switch discs, it runs a check that disc 1 is in the drive,...
I personally like BioWare a LOT! They are a very good game developer. I did not bother played Dragon Age 2. I had not finished Dragon Age 1, which for some reason I just could not get into. Perhaps it was because when I played it I was on a standard 32" screen and had problems reading and seeing icons and whatnot..
Anyways, even if Bioware messed up a big with Dragon Age 2 (As I hear) they shouldn't considered trash. Look at their track record up until now. Very good...

I loved Final Fantasy 2 for SNES, and Final Fantasy 3 for SNES. I loved Final Fantasy 7 for PS1, Liked Final Fantasy 8 for PS1, and Loved Final Fantasy 9 for PS1. I also liked Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1. I also liked Final Fantasy 10 somewhat.

I don't think this console generation has hit it's limit yet. Kinect and Move are both fairly new still and have not been fully used to their potentials, but the core systems are both still great. I tried all of these games before, but I could never get into them. There is just something about the art style, the shading, menus / text.. I just could not play it because I found it too hard to look at. This is weird because I have played over 5000 games, probably more, in my life, and I have never had this problem before.. It looks like a fun game too, and there is 3 of them. I just wish I could be able to enjoy them.
Anyone else find this about the art style?
