I can see some advantages to the PS3 being hacked for people who pay for their games.
What I'd like to do is install a fast SSD in my PS3 and copy my legit games to it to reduce load times, mainly on GT5, just imagine the time we'd saved for more races!
Personally I don't think people will be downloading many 8GB+ PS3 games as some people have a capped internet allowance i.e. 10GBpm, and unless you have a good fibre optic line then it'd be quicker to go to th...

Too true, brought my whole home cinema setup around blu-ray (took a guess hd-dvd wouldn't last) and the PS3 sit's at the heart of it!

OK first post so go easy on me! If this does work then what would happen to load times of games if you were to put a SSD drive in? I know load times dont really improve with faster drives but thats more due to the blu-ray drive speed. However PSN games install and load faster than their blu-ray counterparts. It's a huge expense to go to to save some time but someone will pay it.
All it needed was Mario Kart support.
