A few issues overlooked in this article. Beyond the price difference of a movie ticket compared to a full price game... A lot more people went to see Avengers than those who bought MGSV.
Avengers will continue to make money well after opening day because of dvd/blue ray sales.
It's more than likely all the people who planned to buy MGSV already did and now sales will be to those casual gamers and those who need to be convinced to buy.
