What I'm trying to understand is what made people so underwhelmed with Halo 3 ? I only just recently got a 360 (and now its banned) but I played Halo 3. Yea I suppose its a bit graphically dated, but its already been almost 2.5 years since release. Did people not like the game? It doesn't seem to be held in the same light as Halo 2.
Personally, I play my PS3 more so I have not spent much time with h3. I will say, I was not impressed with ODST...(not saying its bad, just didn...
It was probably buried in the EULA somewhere.
Yea that 100 friend limit is a pita. I need like 300 friends, 90% of whom I will never speak with after a random encounter in game X.

Damn good article. I would love to see an offshoot of the series take the suggested approach...
"Even actions as simple as roaming halls and reading old posters or observing architectural design, in essence shaping a post-mortem portrait of the former city and life within that city, are far more memorable than the 300th splicer the player shocks and drills into an undersea grave."
I agree completely. I have found the majority of my fun in this game comes simply exploring the world of Rapture when no ones around, or the area has been cleared. I find myself comple...
And that is the sad truth.
Btw, like your name.
And if you get the game via steam, usually the patches are stealthy.
I really like Underworld. And I thought Anniversary was neat cause they revamped the original. But I would argue the series has lagged since the late 90s up until recently.
Looks like a good game.
On a side note, I remember when GameSpy was known for their game server listing. I recall using it a lot during my Quake1 days...
As I said in a previous thread, I find motion controllers to be completely overrated.
But, I like that the ARC is being used in conjunction with the Eye. Other than video chat, I really have not done much with my camera..
"Twisted Metal was average"
You need professional help.
Am I the only one who thinks "motion" controllers are completely overrated?
Ugh.
It looks like a good game. I'll have to obtain a copy for my 360. Wish the PC version was still green lit though :(
That is my favorite online map. Looks amazing...especially near the shore where the transport boat is floating up against the rocks.
Whats wrong with reliving the 90s? I do it all the time with my PlayStation and 3DO :)
I was just playing Fear Effect the other day...it spans 4 CD-roms. Hehe..those were the days..
I will say though, glad the PS3 came standard with a hard drive..even if the initial low end model was 20gb.
The original was classic. Still remember playing it back in '99
Last year the Microcenter near me was selling off a stack of still shrink-wrapped games. Among the pile, was Deus Ex, and Daikatana (awful, yes I know). Needless to say, I picked em both up as a collector item, for 4 bucks total.
When they drop the price by 75-100 bucks, and allow you to digitally grab your old UMDs, give me a call.
I love my consoles...especially old ones (PSX, 3DO, Genesis etc). But certain games I prefer on PC. FPS, RTS, MMO, etc are all infinitely better with Keyboard+Mouse.
Haha yea it was classic. I was playing this on 3DO a few weeks ago..it seems all the home versions got butchered in one way or another. Which is strange, I'm sure this system could have handled it.
I certainly hope the PC continues to receive support. When I have the option, for most games I prefer the PC port. This usually means:
-better graphics/resolutions
-a wider array of control options (sorry, but I'll take Keyboard+Mouse any day over a controller for an FPS)
-better communication in game (text and mic chat).
Not to mention the MOD communities..
