the suffering is a great game, does deserve a slot more than some of these
Nightmare on Elm Street? Friday the 13th? Have you played those games recently? They don't even remotely hold up.
Saw? Not a bad game by any means but I was more frustrated than scared.
You speak the truth, whole reason I loved this list
As a reviewer who is getting a copy of this title myself and played it at PAX 09, I must admit I have nothing but great things to say about Uncharted 2 (so far, again, I haven't received my review copy), but I'm shocked at how the only reviews are horrendously strong ones. Don't think the Sony embargo bans non-positive reviews, but if so, that explains it. I know this will be a great game and can't wait to play it, but these hyper-positive reviews seem to make the game out to be the game of...
Loved Truxton as well, need to find that game again.
It's just the same as the sp except there are two of you. each level requires you to do something like get to 50 kills first on your team or survive 8 waves of enemies and you now get a partner to help you do that. good point about it though, no one's mentioning it.
I think the reason most people aren't having issues is that they aren't redeeming Ghostbusters codes or downloading new arrival Magic The Gathering. Neither work. The rest of live as well as existing content seems to have no problems - tested extensively this morning.
I hope it's still as fun as I remember, but it seems like the author thinks so. I guess it's worth the $10 risk.
That's funny because it's true, and I love my PS3 more than my other two consoles. Also the ISO development still going on for Dreamcast makes it more tempting than ever. That and the library is really good.
Alan Wake is one of the few games mentioned by name in the article's prediction...just sayin'
For starters, GTA did start with poor sales, it was mentioned plenty of times, but you are correct the numbers turned around (not sure about 500,000 units, but it wouldn't surprise me). Second, when does the writer use those numbers to dismiss Nintendo hardcore? If anything, the author seems hopeful with the upcoming presentation.
The review clearly shows me that if I can excuse some flaws I'll be having some fun!
yeah, it's not an original idea but it's much less speculation than the other potential reveals
Agreed. FF XIII is a niche game that I still feel is predominantly PS-centric.
I agree with Lifendz in that I don't feel MS had all that great a showing, but I do remember a bunch of podcasts really impressed. Sony took the lead last year, IMO, but this year it's any man's guess. MS has very little we know about right now, which on the flip side puts a lot of pressure on them.
Not quite sure how these games will play, but cell-shaded style looks better and better every day on Nintendo's consoles
You'll notice, Spike47, it says "why", not just stating a fact. Informative.
He makes the game twice as enjoyable and it's clear from the content that they did not want him to hold back! I couldn't believe what came out of your sidekick's mouth.
Glad to see someone's covering it as it doesn't seem like That Gaming Site was that unhappy with it. Above average score means I may give this a try
I'd remove instances of Resident Evil 4 in there. RE 4 is not really a horror game, but rather an action shooter, and I don't think many would consider it competition for RE 2 in terms of horror. On top of that the article doesn't dissect any arguments or make any true comparisons to the two games. Stay focused - celebrate RE 2 and keep it's newer brother far away. Oh and for the record, RE 2 is the best of the series. I fully agree.
