I have no idea how they will make this work. I can't think of any games where it could work besides first person shooters, games like Flower or PixelJunk, or maybe just maybe a racing game.
Other than that, I'd rather just see them make games designed specifically for the controller. I'm very interested to see how they incorporate motion controlling into a console 3 years into it's life span.

IMO, the Wii is a party system. It's great for drinking games and the occasional party fest. Other than that, it has little hardcore gaming and too much Mario. It does have the occasional good game i'll give it that. But with the lack of online integration it doesn't get a lot of play in my household. I would to try that "Open Ocean" game. Looks like something I could get into.
It does have one of my favorite series, Zelda.

not a bad idea, but there would still be limitations i.e. FF13 without towns.
If it's not a PS3 exclusive, it's not that great of an announcement. DVD limitations will only hold back the scale of what it could have been if it were on Blu Ray only.
Imagine if Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, or God of War 3 were limited. They wouldn't be anywhere near as good. Hell, I doubt Uncharted 2 ever would have gotten coop or online multi. Who knows.
Bring on the Arc. I already have the PS Eye and would love to see what they can do with it. Sony has a lot of talented studios under their belt, i'd love to see what they can do.
I say no way it's going to be on the PS3. It is interesting they woudln't deny it, a few years ago they would have right from the get go. I personally as a PS3 only owner and not a big Halo fan, don't care either way.
i always find it funny how Microsoft goes out of their way to talk about the other guys (Sony). Meanwhile, Sony just leans back in the recliner and pays no mind to them. The PR for MS is so awful. I can't think of one talking head I enjoy reading about. On the other hand Jack Trenton (sp?) from Sony is awesome. That guys seems so down to Earth and tells it like it is. Two different companies from two different worlds.
They released it at a horrible time. I've never played Yakuza, but would like to. Problem is, I already have a backlog of games i want to play like Bioshock 2, FF13, God of War 3 and the Collection, Borderlands, Heavy Rain and a few others. Yakuza will unfortunately have to wait.

I have no problem with Party games AKA Drinking games. The Wii is oversaturated with these games of course, but that's why you get a PS3/Wii Combo. The best of both worlds.

An oblivion. I think an Oblivion type game would be perfect for this. I sooo hope they make the next Demon's Souls like Oblivion but more badass, creepier, and lots more action.
the ability to go from 3rd person to 1st person is really the only area I want DS to be like Oblivion.
