It's just a given for me to buy as soon as I can. Sony has done such a great job with PS4. If they are smart they have pretty much set themselves up for success with PS5. They really did blow it at first with PS2 to PS3 though. They got cocky and misguided with the PS3 reveal and launch. Cell did not help either it took a lot of work to tap into it's power.
Ya it looks a bit generic from what little we have seen so far! Keep in mind it's also a launch game. They are not usually mind blowing! It could turn out to be the killer app for launch but it's all just speculation at this point! I'm interested but not really hyped.
I get what you are saying but at the same time it's cool to be able to play older games that run better. Sony is number one for gaming for me but MS is really killing it with Game Pass and it's BC.
There is no refuting that MS has the better system(s) when it comes to BC. That said I'm still going with PS5 as Sony has more and better exclusives. I'm impressed with the new Xbox so if I have some extra money to play with I will likely be looking to get it as well. At the end of the day as long as you are happy and having fun is what really matters!
