I literally see no reason to buy a xbox series s/x until xmas holidays year 2022 and by then they would have already lost the gen with friends buying what there friends have which will be playstation sitting at 60m plus year 2 compared to 20/25m xbox sales.

MS/xbox main problem is nobody cared about xbox games this gen hence the didnt buy a xbox one, so WHY would a gamer be interested in last gen games they were never interested in or bought and played on ps4.
120m ps4 gamers will migrate to ps5 and new gamers to playstation will pickup a ps5 for day 1 games library of 18 AAA ps plus collection.
Gamepass doesnt even have 5 AAA games full stop so why would a casual buy xbox S when for a extra £100 they can can get a proper ...
I'm sure after the MS/bethesda acquisition Sony was like OK were gonna make our own AAA RPG and make it twice as good, making millions flock to the new game and leaving ES and fallout as forgotten gems of the past lol.

Nxt gen was always gonna be expensive, most still need to buy a 4k TV too, the ps5 and series S/X were the least of my worries, it was always gonna be the tv and, sound bar, upgraded SSD etc which was gonna be the extra wallet burner lol.

Colin moriarty mentioned he expects gamepass to be on ps5 before the end of the gen, I'm not sure he'll be right but I wouldn't be shocked either.
Even the pre orders they've sold in Japan will be by Americans, Europeans and British people living and working in Japan.
