and that's pretty much why I've been Sony only for Gen 7 and Gen 8. Until the others can convince me that they wont axe support for the systems (1st party exclusives) after 3-4 years, I see no reason to invest in another platform.
If the PS3.. which launched 12 months after the 360 (18 months EU) - managed to usurp the 360's lifetime sales by the end of the generation given the amount of problems the PS3 had...
What do you think a PS4 would do to an Xbox One by releasing one week earlier with not even 1/5th of the problems of its predecessor?

I don't see the problem with this.. whether you think it's a money grab or not - I doubt even 10% of it's PS4/XOne sales will be from people who played it on PS3 and 360. 90%+ of its sales will be from people who haven't played the game yet, but had it on their wishlist - I.e me...
I could get it for PS3.. but now I'll wait for the PS4 version.. I don't see the problem.
I won't support a company that has tried to, and is still trying to destroy the hobby that I love.
Summer 2013 taught me a lot - they've lost my trust, so I won't buy their systems anymore.

Indeed, everybody else was even worse! still a 'poor' year from Sony 1st party in 2013. Compared to their other years.
The PS4 will outsell the PS2 - you heard it hear first.. it might even topple the DS. Of course we can't predict what the future holds, but this is the best EVER console launch. Not only that, but SCE are in a far better position than they were back in 2006/7..

Apart from TLOU, Mercenaries and Tearaway - Sony's 1st party offerings have failed 'critically' in 2013.
There is no way GT6 can be worse than GT5.. I find that absolutely laughable.
Anyways, games are slowing turning into platforms that will evolve over time.

Honestly I'm surprised that NA sold more than EU/PAL. Good results for Sony though.
because there is only 1 language to cater to and 1 government to pass laws/legislations on what is allowed to be sold in the country.
Shipping anything in multiple Pal markets has alot more work involved.
