@ peeps
You got it half right ,it was a bit confusing to me too. The original CS was called well... CS, and was a mod. It was later released and subsequent versions were called 1.1, 1.2 etc. 1.6 was their final version of the game.
I used to play frequently, but I lost interest this might make me come back, I like more close quarters stuff, I don't have to run halfway across the map to pick up a gun and then be killed 2 sec later, and smaller maps are a bit gentler on hardware, I swore I could here my computer whimper every time i loaded it up.
this is only single player game play, on multiplayer with the hardest difficulty, it will probably be insane.
You have to look at the consoles an pc through different lenses. PC games usually have a more lasting value. With mods and skins, you can get a lot out of a game, like counterstrike for example. Yet on the Pc you can't play with friends (not speaking about online). If you do have them over you'll need to watch someone play, unless you have multiple computers with the same game.
This is where consoles fill the void. I see them as much more social machines, especially the Wii. Have so...
this game is an online coop shooter so there is no campaign or what not thats 6-8 hours long, oyu could play this for hundreds of hours and just like tf2 there are plans for there to be updates with new maps and weapons, they're currently even talking about releasing a flamethrower
It sickens me to hear of such things, next to congress men blaming violent acts on games.
