I'm okay with updates who's sole purpose keep the system secure. It usually doesnt take any more than 5 minutes to take care of anyways. What i'm not okay with is the psp situation, where it lost a lot of its dev support because of hackers, happening all over again with the vita.

There's a dlc that you can download that gives you the option to change the dialogue to japanese, if that's what your talking about.
Sony (at least the gaming department) is doing what we wish all companies would do. Listening to it's customers. :)

I have the demo to play through until a price drop.
The monster hunter clones were great at first but they quickly lost my interest. I put more than 200 hours into monster hunter on my first playthrough and then when i lost my save file, I put in another 100 to build my character back up. In other words, nothing can replace monster hunter for me. That is one of the reasons why I bought my vita. Very disappointed about capcoms sudden change of heart after they created a huge fanbase for it on the psp.
I was gonna wait for a sale on this one, but after that video, very impressed. Might just be a day one.

Completely agree. But hopefully these announcements, the price cut and borderlands 2, will encourage more people to purchase a vita and help bring back the excitement along with more support from (non-indie) devs.
