having played both ports, i can assure you all DS2 is a much better port than the work they did for DS1.
with DS1, i had constant glitches that wouldnt let me watch the cutscenes, and it was just a bad experience. DS2 had an added difficulty which made the game more fun.
So there's not a lot of hope for the Wii U version.
i'm a fan of both, and yes, i don't think this game is going to even compare, going by their previous dull games and the gameplay videos of the surge.
