that statement sounded good and made sense in your head. "Elite is in the eyes of the beholder", plus, the "elite" just means it is meant for those who want to have, and be considered, an elite gamer and elite gaming set-up. When compared to the pro and core, it is elite. Maybe not when compared to other consoles, in the minds of some, but let's not nitpick here. If you don't want it, don't get it... like me, I have no need for it, so I don't want it either.
works with everything fine except my Wii. Both laptops work fine, and my 360 works fine... except I got to choose which adapter I wanted to use. The Wii's is packaged in, which makes me think it is of lesser quality, I'm guessing, or it is just a crappy launch one.
with the year head start of course the 360 will have more things to download... but both of them can download more than what MS or Sony puts on their respective networks.
because the Wii's WiFi is all wacky and fickle... sometimes it will connect, other times it will not... hard wired works 100% of the time!

But I have to agree, start work on the next one! I'm hoping the next one will allow for more free form character development. In Morrowind I spent the first 80 hours or so just looking for better and better weapons and armor, then started the main story line with some pretty good equipment right off the back, and I enjoyed that more... instead of just having the current level set (i.e. leather, then steel, etc.).
