EA will lose out because by digital distribution, money will go straight to the developers instead to the publishers. Unless there's some sort of agreement between the two parties.

2. Then rent it to a consumer. - Money goes to the buyer.

Renting games is not much difference than pirating it. This is what plaque the console game industry.

Furthermore id does make a statement that they didn't support modding on this game(Rage game). The reason of this is because of the megatexture incorporated in their engine. Damn i really hope somebody does make something with it and improve the texture resolution. Anyway we haven't seen the final product yet. But still, fingers crossed.
I think DX9 will still be the standard until the next console comes out. So for now we have to stick with exclusives and hopefully developers will take advantage of the tech.
Even idTech5 is using DX9 as the standard. So we have no choice but to wait. At least id does make the idTech5 game (Rage) stunning at the same time maintaining 60fps.
Actually i dont mind about the DX10 or DX11 as long as it looks good and plays well. And when i mean plays well i mean 6...
All of the games shown may be released on 2012 or later. But seriously Mass Effect 3 2012?? It is possible that this game may be released on 2012 but it may also be possible it will see the light on 2011.

I don't understand these console fanboys hating us PC Gamers. PC do not compete exclusive with console in any ways. It is just logic that PC is powerful because of the nature of PC to be more and more powerful every 6 months.

Please remember, a lot of console games being rented but not bought. And a lot of them died in shelves post release date.
Steam sales do help PC developers makes money way after their release date. Advantage to PC Gamers (where we got sales) and PC developers (as they make money) as a whole.

Wow! what a bold statement. Come on guys be realistic here. Even current gen with current game hardly achieve 30fps let alone 60fps.
When the hardware becoming more powerful, artist will try to put more and more stuff into it. They will target 30fps but never 60fps.
The only company to target 60fps is Id software with their Rage engine. But then this engine only support DX9c but not DX10 or DX...
I purchased Resident Evil 5 and Bioshock 2 retail. I had no problem running it on XP but then i need the DX10 galore so install this game on my Vista (dual boot).

It's not boring, in fact it's quite a blessing for PC gamers in general. I bought Mafia2, FEAR complete, Splinter Cell Conviction and many others.
I didn't really expect Hot Pursuit and many other new games at 75% sale but 10% sales is good enough for PC Gamers to buy it. PC games already cheaper than console version so even 10% sales is like an icing on a cake.
I didn't buy Conviction because of its DRM crap, but when it's on sale i bough...
Sadly i never finished Warcraft 3. I finished Warcraft 1 and 2 but never finish 3. Not even started Frozen Throne. I bought it but never played. Damn curse you First Person Shooters. Oh and Pro Evolution Soccer. :P

Blur just not the game for me. But Split/Second, wow this game rocks. The only downside about his game is the number of tracks.
But the intensity of this game surely got my heart pumping. And it just works flawlessly with my Momo Racing Wheel.
